Spike Concept 2

This is my second piece involving spikes. As a compliment to one of my formal pieces, a tree within a glass cylinder, this piece builds upon that concept. The majority of the piece was composed within Bryce and the colors and intensity were adjusted using G.I.M.P.

Spike Concept 1

While taking a mental break from homework, the spike concept arrived in my mind. This is my first attempt at bringing this thought to life. The reflections in the clear glass turned out well and they are very entertaining to explore.

In The Beginning...

I thought, before I would begin posting my art and links to other favorable artists, I would inform you a bit about myself.

I live in New Mexico, an arid, desert of a state which offers very little to look at and even less to do. I am currently enrolled in college and I am studying mechanical engineering.

I first developed a taste for the creation of art from graphic signatures on forums. I readily expressed an interest in two dimensional art then later, I expanded into the realm of three dimensional creations.

G.I.M.P. and Bryce 6.0 are the programs I use namely because they are inexpensive and they perform relatively well.

It is my hope, through this blog, I will be able to inspire others to passionately create and express without any limitations, and highlight other great artists along the way.
